Music video: Test shoot - my role
My role for the test shoot was the organisation. I was in charge of setting up the actors, emailing and sorting out everything, like the date, time and place. After, I had to upload the test shoot and embed it onto my blogger. We only managed to do a test shoot of the scenes at home as we didn’t yet have the costumes, props and equipment necessary for the main part of the video. Although the test shoot was quiteshort, we learnt that we need to be a little more organised in gathering the props and equipment. We also learnt that next time we need to film earlier in the day to get more of the natural lighting. We found that using a trip-pod would also make the overall filming better as the footage will be still. A benefit of the test shoot was also that we saw that the actors speaking and acting “normal” during filming looks good asit makes it more realistic and makes it seem as though they don’t know they are beingfilmed, which is the aim and these scenes are supposed to be flashbacks.Overall, I think that doing the test shoot was helpful in learning to be more organised and it showed us just how much time and patience we will need to create the whole music video.
